Concert - Handel's MESSIAH

Handel's mighty oratorio MESSIAH is always a Christmas favourite with singers and audiences alike. Composed in only 24 days in 1741, it was an instant success, and helped secure Handel's already well-established position at the top of the musical hierarchy in the country. Come and enjoy the occasion of our 75th anniversary concert as we sing its well known arias and choruses, including the famous Hallelujah chorus. We will be accompanied by The Baroque Collective playing on period instruments. The soloists are: Jennifer Witton (soprano), Cathy Bell (mezzo), Paul Austin Kelly (tenor) and James Oldfield (bass). Please note the earlier than usual start time.
